Temperature sensor fault: AIR TO WATER HEAT PUMP SPECIFICATIONS

When the fault code of the temp sensor occurs, please check if the wiring of the sensor
is loose, if the wiring is connected well and firm, possibly the sensor itself is broken, in Model ESDAW-9CH
this case, the sensor needs to be replaced by a new one. ELECTRICAL INPUT
Voltage/Phase/Frequency 220-240V/1PH/50HZ
EE 01: high pressure protection
It means that the pressure in the system is high, so the system stops for protecting the Amps Per Phase 12.7Amps
unit. The possible reasons are as the below: Running Current 16.5Amps
1. loose wiring of the high pressure switch Wire Size 14AWG
Circuit Breaker Size 20Amps
2. water flow rate in the system is not enough, so the heat exchanging between the
hot gas and water is not sufficient, which cause the high pressure. In this case, please
PERFORMANCE
check the water flow rate of the water pump and the flow rate of the whole water circuit Heating Capacity 8.9KW
system, to see if the water pump itself has weak flow and if there is any block inside the Heating Power Input 2.8KW
water circuit system, such as the filter blockage, blockage inside water pipings...
Heating COP※ 3.2
3. Air evacuation is not done before the system is running Heating COP※※ 3.5
If the system is not air evacuated, there is air resistence when water flow goes through Sound Level 52dB(A)@3m
the pipes, so the flow rate will be reduced. So before running the system, please make
sure the air inside the system is evacuated.

EE 02: low pressure protection
It means that the pressure in the system is too low, so the system stops for protecting the Number Per Unit 1

Voltage/Phase 220-240V/1PH
1. loose wiring of the low pressure switch
Fan
2. low gas volume: Type Propeller
In this case, probably there is gas leak somewhere, then we need to check the following

running when the water temp gets to 55℃ ,and it will restart when the
water temp <Tset-F (55℃-2℃=53℃)

3. Parameter setting on the defrosting

Please refer to the parameter table on page 25.

Parameter 02 defrosting cycle, the default value is 45min. It means that the system runs in
heating mode for 45min,then automatically to check if the condition to start the defrosting
is satisfied. If the condition to start the defrosting is satisfied, the system will go to
defrosting mode.

Parameter 03, the coil temp to start the defrosting, the default value is -9℃. When the coil
temperature (it can be check by parameter code P1) gets to -9℃, the system will enter into
defrosting mode. In defrosting mode, the system is in cooling mode and will absorb heat
from room /house to melt the ice. So in defrosting period, there is no heat to come to the
house.

Parameter 04, coil temp to stop the defrosting, the default value is 13℃.When the coil temp
gets to 13℃, the defrosting will stop.

Parameter 05, the time duration of defrosting, default value is 10 min. When the defrosting
lasts for 10min, the defrosting will end.

For parameter 04 and parameter 05, any of them gets to the setting value, the defrosting
will end.

All of the above parameters are adjustable according to the real needs.
7.3 Initialization and standby state
As we know, when the air temp is below 0℃, the unit is easy to ice up. But when the air
temp is above 0℃ and the air humidity is high, there is also the possibility that the unit ices
up. Please refer to the below review.

As shown in the view, the dotted area is the possible

7.5.2 How to regulate the modes
Please see the following view.
The parameter 08 should first be set correctly. For heat pump, the value of the parameter
08 should be set at 1 (for heating and cooling machine), then it will function when we switch
the mode between the heating mode and cooling mode.

In standby mode, press SET key to enter into the parameter pages, and we can go from one
parameter page to the next one by pressing the SET key. When we go to the parameter 08
page, then adjust the value via the up and down keys. After setting value 1, please wait the
page recovers to the original standby mode, then check the mode, if it’s not in the mode we
want, regulate it via the MODE key to be heating/cooling mode.

1
Fault EE01:
High pressure fault

The mode can be switched between heating and cooling both in standby mode Fault EE02:
or ON mode. Low pressure fault

(1) In standby mode (the unit is plugged to the power supply, but not been switched on to
operate), if the mode is in cooling (the symbol is the snow flake on the left of the screen),
please press the MODE key, then the screen will change to be in heating mode, with Sun
Icon on the right. After this switch is successful, then switch on the heat pump by on/off
key to operate, the unit will run in heating mode.

(2) In ON mode (when the unit is in running), if it is in cooling mode, then press the MODE
key, then the screen will change to be in heating mode, with Sun Icon on the right of the Fault EE04:
screen. Then the fan and compressor will stop, after around 3 minutes, the fan and Phase sequence
compressor will re-start and then unit will run in heating mode. protection

Please note that, if you adjust mode by the second way, after the heating mode is set, the
unit will have a stop, then just leave the unit there and wait for the restarting, we don't
need to put the on/off key to turn on it.
Fault EE08:
If you want to try the first way, please switch off the unit, after the unit stops and back in Communication connection fault
standby mode, press the MODE key to change the mode to be in heating, then switch on
the unit, it will run in heating.

It is the same way as above to change cooling mode into heating mode.

7.6.1 Temperature setting

14
7.6.2 Detailed Instruction on temperature setting.
The parameter setting should be done in the standby mode. In the ON mode of the unit,
we can check the current values of the parameters, but we can't modify them. So please
set the parameter value in the standby mode.

Standby mode means that the unit is plugged to the power supply,
but is not turned on to run.

(a) In the standby mode, press SET button to enter into the parameter setting page. After
pressing the SET button, we also have entered into the first parameter setting page. It will
display parameter 0 (water inlet temp in cooling mode)

(b) Press SET button again, then we enter into the second parameter setting page. It will tate
display parameter 1 (water inlet temp in heating mode), then adjust the temperature by up e. In the ON state, you can see the curr
or down keys, till to the temperature we want.
f. Please pay attention that, when we are in the setting page of parameter 2,we need to first
( Press the SET key to switch the parameter page from one to the next.) press the “up” and “down” key at the same time till we hear a tick, then we can enter into
the following setting pages by pressing key SET and set the value by “up” and “down”keys.
Please pay attention that, when we are in the setting page of parameter 02,we need to
press the “up” and “down” keys are the same time till we hear a tick, then we can switch
into the following setting pages by pressing key SET and set the value by “up” and “down”
keys.

Please refer to the following views:

Or press the down key to A few seconds later after the setting, the screen will
adjust the value lower recover to be the initial status in the standby mode,
then we can turn on the unit by on/off key to operate.
