Description
Applied Systems Engineering’s ASE2000 Version 2 Test Set may be downloaded and installed on any
Windows compatible computer. The package becomes fully licensed and functional when operating in a
computer with ASE enabling hardware (BCOM-USB device or USB dongle). Without such hardware,
functionality may be enabled for a limited period of time with a Trial License. Unlicensed software may be
used for file viewing and configuration operations.
The ASE2000 Version 2 Test Set is available at: ASE2000 V2 Installation Files (approximately 25 MB).
While .msgx files can also be viewed with a licensed or unlicensed ASE2000, the message viewer is a
smaller and easier to use package with no external component or driver requirements. All viewing features
available in the ASE2000 are also available in the message viewer.
Trial Copies
Executable
To obtain a copy of the ASE2000 Version 2 Test Set, download and install the ASE2000 program as
described above. With ASE hardware installed, the software becomes a fully functional ASE2000 Version 2
Test Set.
Without ASE hardware, ASE2000 operation can be enabled for evaluation with a Trial License. Trial
operation is limited by date and maximum number of executions. Full functionality is supported while
communication is active, but sessions automatically stop after 60 seconds of continual operation.
License
ASE Trial licenses lock evaluation execution to a single computer. To request a Trial license:

• Select Send Request to generate an automatic email request for a Trial license
• If not connected to the internet or a mail program, email the value generated to support@ase-
systems.com along with a request for a Trial license

• ASE will provide a Trial license file attached to a reply Email
• Re-run the ASE2000 V2 program, select Install License, browse to the file contained in the
response Email, and select OK
The ASE Trial license file is valid only for the computer on which the Trial License value was generated. It
will last for 60 days or 75 program executions, whichever occurs first.

operation that were not clear, suggested improvements, new feature requests, and, in the rare instance of a
