A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, PRESIDENT OF

REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES MALACAÑANG PALACE MANILA THRU HONORABLE MARK AGUILAR
VILLAR, SECRETARY OF DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH), FOR DREDGING AND
SILTING OF CAGLANGKOY CREEKS AND MAROYONDOYON CREEK IN THE BARANGAY MOLAVE
(POBLACION) CATARMAN NORTHERN SAMAR.

WHEREAS, Barangay Molave is located at poblacion of Catarman Northern Samar and has two (2) major
creeks namely: the Caglangkoy Creek and Maroyondoyon creek.

WHEREAS, the said creeks are shallow, clog by nipa palms, tiger grass, huge volume of kangkong and
Iilies, debris in which flood water cannot flow freely to the creeks and the water remain stagnant.

WHEREAS, the sudden Caglangkoy creek affects the residen especially the farmers due to the sudden
flood cause even during typical rainfalls leading to the income losses of farmers because of their
insufficient rice production and hog raising. The Maroyondoyon creek, is in the catch basin of water
coming from Brgy. Dalakit, wherein four (4) other barangays are also affected because of the blockage of
water which stops it from flowing into the river.

NOWTHEREFORE, upon the motion of Kagawad Lina N. Loberiano and duly seconded by Collegial body.

Resolved as it is HEREBY RESOLVED, that the resolution enacted requesting the Honorable Rodrigo Roa
Duterte, President, Republic of the Philippines, Malacañang Palace, Manila thru the Honorable Mark
Aguilar Villar, Secretary of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for dredging and silting of Caglangkoy
creek and Maroyondoyon creek on the Barangay Molave (Poblacion) Catarman, Northern Samar.
