ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1. Project Title: 2019 National Reading Month Celebration
2. Proponent: Communicators Club Officers and Members
3. Venue: EPDGSHI Campus
4. Duration: December 4, 2019 - 8:00am - 12:30pm
5. Participants: EPDGSHI students
6. Source of Funds: COMMUNICATORS CLUB FUND
II. RATIONALE:
Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum no. 158, s. 2019. Mandates the conduct of 2019 National
Reading Month Celebration .Thus, the Communicators Club decided to organize an activity on
December 4, 2019 - READING Month Celebration.
There will be series of activities to be conducted like Book Parade, Speech Choir, Rap, Reading
Corner contest and Cosplay. With the theme: ”Magbasa’t Umunlad” which promotes love for
reading. This is in connection with DepEd’s commitment to provide quality, accessible, relevant,
and liberating basic education for all and lay the foundation for lifelong learning and service for
the common good.
III. OBJECTIVES
The Communicators Club Celebration will enable:
a. To develop students confidence in the world of work through mastery in the English
Language.
b. To help students overcome persistent problems through effective English Communication as a
tool of interaction.
c. To develop the students reading skills and oral communicative competence through
competitions.

B. COSPLAY
a. Each section shall have one entry either a male or female.
(The craftsmanship in the creation of the costume with the effective use of colors and materials
RAP (grade7-12)
a. Contestants are from grade 7-12.
b. Each entry shall be composed of 5 members.
c. Prepared piece (Region)
d. Performance shall be 3-5 minutes.
Criteria for judging:
Delivery ……………… 40% (Voice, Enunciation, Diction, Grammar, Pronunciation)
Mastery………………..20%
Choreography………… 30% (Creativity, style, artistic expression, variety of movements)
Over All Impact……….. 10%
