Scope and Delimitations

The aforementioned study is focused on determining only the drawbacks of the biometrics

system such as (Give examples of drawbacks)

Specifically in the in Saint Louis University Laboratory Senior High School on the

Academic Year 2017-2018

The researchers are delimited in collecting data through interviews and open-ended

questionnaire to be given to the chosen population of the study which are the school’s faculty and

staff.

Significance of the Study

As to develop the essence of security in the school, the study’s aim is to determine the

drawbacks of the fingerptin-type of biometric system of the Saint Louis University Laboratory

Senior High School as to prevent inaccurate errors, such as the false reject (FR) error along with

the false accept (FA) error.

Sampling Design

To be able to identify the definite sample of the study out of the chosen population, which is

the SLU-LHS faculty and staff, the respondents have chosen a purposive sampling design to be

able to select the most fitted respondents to undergo interviews and suffice appropriate data and

knowledge for our study.

By freely choosing the respondents with appropriate characteristics such as those who

specializes in the specific field of the study, the researchers have a great advantage in gathering

the necessary information for the data collection.

With that said, the researchers intend to choose five teaching personnel and five non-teaching

personnel to interview with for inference of their experience in using the Biometric system.

Alongside interviews, the researchers intend to hand out open-ended questionnaires to a

(number of respondents consisting of a number of teaching staff and a number of non-teaching

staff.)
