DESCRIPTION
Faircap’s mission is to design and
develop open technologies to provide
affordable clean drinking water
to more than 800 million people
worldwide who don’t access to it.
We have designed two, easy to use
water filters to purify water instantly,
without the need of chemicals or
additional energy.
The Faircap Mini water filter is a small
portable device that fits into standard
plastic bottles and is ideal to provide
clean drinking water from natural
water sources, specially during
emergencies.
The Faircap Family water filter comes
with a small plastic tap and hose
to convert any water container, like
a plastic bucket, into a low cost
household water purification system.
Lab Tested & Certified
Both devices have been tested in the
lab (Bachema AG in Switzerland and
the University of Barcelona Virus
Research Lab) to remove 99.99% of
bacteria like e.Coli. They can also filter
protozoa, cysts and sediment making
turbid water transparent. They have
a relatively high flow rate of 0.5L per
minute.
