Introduction
For this project, we have decided on doing a package travel through the northern
territory of Spain. We strongly believe that this area has a very rich history, art, culture,
gastronomy and nature. The starting point is Barcelona. The cities that we chose to visit
are Pamplona, San Sabastián and Zaragoza. Our target is going to be people between 35
and 60 years old because our plan is to be up and visiting plenty of hours which maybe
older people it’s not able to. We have decided that our group would be compounded by
fifteen couples, so in total thirty people. That is mainly because, in order to visit the city,
monuments and places, we will divide the group in two. One group will be formed by
fourteen people and, the other group, by sixteen, in order not to split any couple.

Route
Day 1
The beginning of the trip starts in
Barcelona in Plaça Espanya in front of the
hotel Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza. The
meetup hour will be at 7:30h and the
departure time will be at 8:00 by bus. The
first stop will be in Navarra, Pamplona, the
capital of the province. The journey will
last approximately four and a half hours;
therefore, we will arrive at our destination
at about 12:30h. There, we have booked a
lunch in a restaurant called El Burladero,
located near the bullring. There, our customers could have a try of Navarre’s
gastronomy. After lunch, we will do a walking route through the city. The starting point
will be next to the bullring, in the place where Hemingway's bust is located. From there,
we will enter the old town, going through the Ronda del Obispo Barbazán, which will

2
allow us to discover part of the walled city. Then we will go to the Rincón del Caballo
Blanco, a viewpoint that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Arga River, the
neighborhoods of Rochapea and Chantrea, and the Paseo de Ronda. Next, we will arrive
at the Cathedral of Santa María, built between the 12th and 15th centuries. The tickets
to enter to the cathedral are included. The guided visit through it will last an hour.
A few meters from the Cathedral is located the Museum of Navarre that collects the art
and history of Navarre from Prehistory to the present day. The entrance will be free
because it is the day of the Spanish Constitution. After visiting the museum, we will
continue along the slope of Santo Domingo towards the town hall, where every July 6 at
midday the chupinazo is launched, marking the beginning of the universal festivities of
San Fermín. We will also see the town hall and finally the nearby medieval churches of
San Nicolás and San Saturnino, we will enter to both too.
Then we will leave free time to maybe have a coffee or buy a souvenir. At 19:00h we will
meet up again with the travelers to catch the bus. From there, we will head towards
Basque Country, San Sebastian. The journey will last approximately an hour, so the
arrival time is estimated to be at 20:00h. Once there, we will go to check-in at the hotel,
Sercotel Codina. Meanwhile, we will give a ticket which will include a free dinner
(included in the price of the trip) to TrikuHarri Taberna Jatetxea, a traditional restaurant
which is 3 minutes away from the hotel walking. That way clients will have absolute
freedom to choose the time that they want to dine at.

Day 2
The meet up time of the second day will be at 10:00h, after breakfast, at the lobby of
the hotel. We will start the day by having a guided visit to the Palacio Miramar which is
only 10 minutes always from the hotel. That palace was where the Queen María Cristina
at the XVII used to spend her summer holidays on. Afterwards, we will head to Catedral
el Buen Pastor. On our way there, will walk by the promenade which means that we will
be able to see and appreciate the beauty of the most famous beach in all San Sebastián,
La Playa de la Concha. Once we are done visiting the Catedral el Buen Señor, we will
head towards the old part of the city in order to give some free time to the clients so
they can eat and enjoy on their own. We will recommend them to stay all over the
Fermín Calbetón street, which is famous for concentrating the highest number of
restaurants per square meter in Europe. It is a street to enjoy to its best the gastronomy
of San Sebastián and which will give the clients plenty of options from where to choose.
We have an agreement with almost all the restaurants at the street, which means that
the price is included, and we give the clients tickets to present on the bars in order to
eat. The meet up time after having lunch and the clients having free time, it will be at
15:30h at the Santa Maria Church, which is it 3-4 minutes away from where the clients
had lunch. We will visit the church and afterwards we will go to the Monte Urgull, which
gives us a huge and beautiful view of the Donosti’s coast. Once we are done our bus will
be waiting us there, we will take it in order to head to El Peine del viento, which is in the

3
other part of the coast. Then we will take the Funicular to get to Monte Igueldo where
we can find an amusement park and a lookout. At almost the end of the day we will take
again the bus to return to the hotel. There our guides will give the travelers the same
ticket as the day before, but with the dinner in another place, Albitzur restaurant, a
simple but also traditional basque restaurant which is 3 minutes away from the hotel
walking.

Walking route Bus route

Day 3
After breakfast, we will meet up with the customers at 8:00 to do the check-out. Then,
we will take the bus and we will go to Zaragoza. The journey will last approximately two
hours forty-five minutes, so we will arrive to our destination at 10:45.
First of all, we will visit the Plaza del Pilar, composed by the Basilica del Pilar, and the
town hall. Our objective will be entering to the Basilica, which is an important baroque
temple in Spain; going up the tower and visiting the Pilarista Museum. Then we will go
in La Lonja. It is a civil building of Renaissance style built in the first half of the sixteenth
century (1541-1551) as an area for economic activities. Today is the City Hall's exhibition
hall.
After all, we will have lunch in Los
Xarmientos restaurant. Later on, we will
visit the Goya Museum where we will
see the main artworks of the artist.
Next, we will visit the Museum of the
Forum of Caesaraugusta which houses
the archaeological remains discovered
during excavations carried out between
1988-1991 in this part of the city. Finally,
we will come in the cathedral of
Salvador, where there is the Museum of

4
the Tapestries. At that point, we will leave free time until 18:00.
At the end of the journey we will take the bus to return to our start point, Plaça Espanya,
Barcelona. The arrival time is estimated to be at 21:00 as the journey is three hours
approximately.

Conclusion
Lastly, and arriving at the end of this project, we wanted to make sure that our trip to some
cities on the north of Spain was traditional but at the same time, we wanted it to be special. We
thought every single moment on how our clients will be feeling or what were the best options
to choose from or the best places to visit. We also choose these destinations because our
knowledge on them, and personal experiences that made us choose the perfect restaurants,
hotel, etc. the ones with better quality and the best price. That is what basically made us create
the perfect route throughout the north including three beautiful cities, resting on an amazing
hotel and getting to know really nice cultural and historic things, and also eating at some of the
best local places.
