FACTS OF THE CASE:

That on November 18, 2018 on/about 7000H, a call was received by the BCPO-
Station 7 from P02 JOUNARD ALAPANG. Upon receipt of the call, the said office sent
two police officers, PO2 PAUL ANNIBAN and PO3 MC LARSEN PANGOD to check on
the incident. They found two gravesites with alleged skeletal remains of unknown
victims.
According to the witness, GIL CHRISTIAN M. PAYDOWAN, 21 years old, fourth
year college student of University of Baguio studying Bachelor of Science in Criminology,
varsity player of the University of Baguio Cardinals Wushu Team, he was on his way for
his training early that morning at around 0645H when he noticed the disturbed structure
of the vacant lot near their training area at the UB House and sensed an odd smell so he
went to the site and found an alleged skeletal remain. He then called BCPO Station 7.
At on or about, 0715H, first responders arrived into the scene and checked the
incident. Assuming that there were alleged skeletal remains the first responders cordoned
the crime scene. P03 MC LARSEN PANGOD called SPO4 ELIJAH JAN DUMLING, the
Investigator on Case through phone call. Upon the IOC’s arrival at on or about 0730H,
she conducted preliminary investigation and walkthrough together with the first
responders. After assessment of the crime scene SPO4 ELIJAH JAN DUMLING called
and requested for SOCO assistance at around 0740H.
The SOCO team arrived at 0800H and processed the crime scene. IOC turned
over the crime scene to SOCO Team Leader, PCI AARON KLYDE PAULINO. Search
conducted at the crime scene resulted in the discovery of the skeletal remains on two
sites. SOCO Team processed the crime scene by taking Photographs, Sketching the
crime scene, taking notes of important details, marking and tagging evidence, collecting
and properly sealing the pieces of evidence. After processing the crime scene, the SOCO
Team then transported the skeletal remains to the Anthropology Unit of the Baguio city
Crime Laboratory Office.
