Working position purpose:

A skilled Manufacturing Engineer will lead the efforts in creating and refining robust manufacturing processes of
mechanical polymer recycling by means of single and twin-screw extrusion. This position requires strong
communication, organizational, project management, and technical skills.
In addition to general duties, rights and responsibilities, which are imposed by the Labor Code, the respective Human
Resources Manual (HR Manual), working procedures and documentation covering ISO guidelines, in particular the
following duties, rights and responsibilities are related to the working position:

Key responsibilities and main activities:

• Managing of the operation of the whole plastic recycling line including the waste plastic crushing shredder,
washing line, granulating and pelletizing extrusion machines.
• Compounding of recycled materials, selecting the most suitable plastic additives and masterbatches with the
optimal amounts.
• Utilizing his project management skills to implement solutions to manufacturing challenges based on statistical
and experimental data.
• Critically evaluate the laboratory test results to justify his selection and further adjustment of polymer blends
to meet business objectives for the current and new product introductions.
• Optimizing the performance and efficiency of all processes and provide hands on technical support for
equipment qualification and process validation.
• Standardizing of process conditions for various plastic waste from different origin (e.g., post-consumers and
post-industrial) for different polymer materials; like LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP, PET, PVC, PBT, SAN, ABS, PS, PC.
• Standardizing of process conditions for startup, changeover and shutdown of the production line.
• Troubleshooting for maximum productivity on various stages of production.
• Handling preventive maintenance and sudden breakdown of various machineries.
• Ensuring quality standard of output materials after each stage of the production processes.
• Participate in problem solving activities and developing intellectual property.
• Incorporate process safety, environmental soundness and reliable operations principles and standards in
projects and tasks.
• Men power utilization for maximum productivity by training, evaluating and leading production operators.
• Handling SAP, ERP and other related data documentation.
Specific activities
• Communicating with stakeholders regularly by sharing information and creating technical reports.
• Driving business growth and success through timely execution of projects and continuous improvement
initiatives.

Required Qualification and other skills:

Education and training:
B.Sc. in Mechanical, chemical, polymer or material science engineering.
Knowledge and experience:
5 to 15 years of previous experience with mechanical recycling, blending and compounding of plastic waste.
Deep understanding of polymer rheology and extrusion operation (single screw extrusion and double screw extrusion)

Excellent knowledge of different plastic applications (extrusion, injection, blow molding, etc.)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
