Rationale

Spray paints are widely used for painting walls, cars, rusty things, school projects and etc.

spray paints are usually not refillable because of its design and spray paints are constructed from

value, clip tube, pea, and aluminum can, somehow spray paints are useful to us because we used

it to paint areas quickly like large areas. But these spray paintings has different sizes, types,

power ranges especially their prices.

In modern times, spray paint is not refillable and easily consumed. Also, spray paints

contain toxic chemicals that could harm everyone’s health. So I want to construct a refillable

spray paint for us to not waste money buying spray paint if it is already out of paint.

In this study a refillable spray paint will be develop by the researcher in the San Jacinto

National High School in the year of 2016-2017 to reduce the wasting of money buying new

spray paints.

Statement of the Problem

Generally, the study aims to develop and produce a refillable spray paint and paint.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1.What is the design of the Improvised refillable spray paint?

2.Is the improvised refillable spray paint is acceptable to the users/respondents in terms of:

a.design;

b.quality and

c.performance?
2

3. Is there a significant difference between the paint of refillable spray paint and the paint of the

commercial spray paint?

4.Is there significant difference between the refillable spray paint and the commercial spray

paint?

Hypotheses

1. H0. The refillable spray paint is not highly acceptable in terms of design, quality and

performance.

Ha. The refillable spray paint is highly acceptable in terms of design, quality and

performance.

2. H0. There is no significant differences between the paint of refillable spray paint and

paint of commercial spray paint.

Ha. There is a significant differences between the paint of refillable spray paint and paint

of commercial spray paint.

3. H0. There is no significant differences between the refillable spray paint and commercial

spray paint.

Ha. There is a significant differences between the refillable spray paint and commercial

spray paint.

Significance of the Study

First, this study will benefit the community because they will be able to have a spray

paint that is refillable and low cost spray paint. Second, the school because it will have a study

about the refillable spray paint. Lastly, this study could be helpful to the future researchers

because they can adopt the study and be able to redesign the refillable spray paint.

Scope and Delimitations

This study seeks to answer the Acceptability of Improvised and Refillable Spray Paint. The

invention needs the following materials which is the value/straw, cap, bottle, inner tube value,

and hot glue gun. This study will be conducted from the year of 2016-2017 at San Jacinto

National High School, Guibel, Pangasinan. This study is an Applied Category. The researcher

doesn’t know how to make paint but the research has a solution for that.

Review of Literature

-According to Konieczny J. (2009), New computer graphic tools are developed for use in

the automotive paint design and paint application industries. These tools are designed to aid in

every aspect of automotive painting from initial paint design all the way of viewing a final spray

paint job. The combination of these tools is intended to allow spray painters to design paints,

paint them on to an automobile or other object, and verify exactly what the result will look like

before ever having manufacture the paint itself. The use of these tools could therefore reduce

wasted paint, speed up training times, and allow for precise design of automobile appearance.

-According to Pisla A. et al (n.d.), Why use spray painting robot? The answer is relatively

simple and comprises all the reasons to reduce the operating costs and increase the return of

investment. Underutilization of a programmable robot is as unprofitable as adapting limited

automation to a task requiring a high degree of flexibility.

-According to Konieczny J. et al (n.d.) this research and resulting system described in his

paper goes beyond the above systems in several ways. First, a realistic paint color model was

added, allowing users to view a photorealistic simulation of the resulting paint job rather than

just a paint density texture map, including a realistic lighting environment. Second, parameters
4

that can change how paint must be applied such as air/paint ratio and paint viscosity are modeled

in the simulation. Finally, user testing with the system was performed to both improve it and

validate it as a training tool.

Definition of Terms

Refillable Spray Paint- it is a bottle with a pressure inside and a paint where you can refill it

Inner tube valve- a tube that where pressure inserted to a certain object commonly on tires

Valve- it is one of the material in this study I will use an improvised valve, like straw

Paint- the paint in this study will be produce a paint

performance. The researcher will use 1 set in which the one set is composed of 10

respondents age. The sensory evaluation method that will be used in the effectiveness and

acceptance test using the 5-point likert scale. In the acceptance test, the respondents will

be asked to rate according to its design, quality, and performance. The respondent will

also give this comments on the product if there is any.
