DETAILS OF FOM Assignment : Market Watch(30 marks)

1. This is an individual assignment.


2. Maximum length of the submission (in MS Word, Times Roman font, 1.5 line spacing) is 20
pages. It is perfectly OK to have lesser number of pages provided all the relevant aspects have
been duly covered. It is ok to have annexure, over and above the page restriction, if really required.
3. Assignment must be submitted in soft copy on moodle by 9th August 2019 .
4. Maximum permissible limit for plagiarism for the assignment is 10 percent (this is the qualifying
criteria for evaluation).

Purpose:

The assignment should demonstrate the application of concepts of “Marketing Environment”


explored in the course to the Fundamentals of Marketing. Through this assignment the will get an
opportunity to develop an in depth understanding of the environmental forces and critically analyze
the them through concepts discussed in the course.

It is expected that the individuals will explore and examine the current and relevant environmental
issues and integrate that with the relevant theoretical concepts.

Guidelines:

The structure of the report should be:

The company / firm, the individual intends to investigate needs to be briefly highlighted (5
marks).
A detailed description of the each of the macro-environmental forces has to be given (10 marks).
It needs to be clarified why the individual thinks that each of the macro-environmental
forces may be posing as a threat or an opportunity for the firm.
A detailed explanation of each of the micro-environmental forces has to provided (10 marks).
It needs to be elucidated why the individual thinks that each of the micro-environmental
forces may be posing as a strength or a weakness for the firm. Further, this part of document shall
focus on bargaining power of suppliers, buyers and intermediaries and threats posed by existing
and new competitors.
The insights gained through the analysis needs to be clearly mentioned (5 marks).
