SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT/S IN FOSTERING LEARNING

Under the Governance and Basic Education Act of 2001, it mandates the
establishment of schools that are empowered to make decisions based on the needs
and contexts of the learners they serve to achieve the vision of well-governed schools,
particularly senior high schools. The implementation of Senior High School (SHS) is
under the Republic Act 10533 that stipulates to provide mastery of skills for lifelong
learners and prepare them for career opportunities. This curriculum prepares the
graduates more opportunities for the global market. Senior High School consists of
two (2) years (Grade 11 and Grade 12) of high school education that serves as a
specialized higher-level secondary education, consisting of different tracks, strands
and specializations that learners may choose from depending on their aptitude and
interests, and school capacity.

The Lanao del Norte National Comprehensive High School (LNNCHS) offers
various tracks/strands – Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), Accountancy,
Business and Management (ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM), Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL), and Sports – to foster
the learnings of the students. The Department of Education provided teachers
curriculum guides to delineate what students must know and be able to do, and
support teachers in achieving their teaching goals.

With this intention to attain teaching goals; the Senior High School teachers;
initiated projects and activities coupled with differentiated teaching strategies,
namely: Experiential Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, Scaffolding Instruction,
Case Method, Active Learning, Integrating Technology, Cooperative Learning,
Debate, Symposium, and Service Learning to be accomplished and experienced by
the students. These teaching strategies mold learners to be independent and thus,
prepare them to be globally competitive leaners.

differentiated teaching strategies to each tracks/strands and participated with the
