For my previous ethical theories, I was a consequentialist which holds that the consequences
of one's conduct are the ultimate basis for any judgement about the rightness and wrongness of that
conduct. I was a consequentialist where I tend to think about what are the possible consequences that i
may face after the act. Most of the time I would avoid consequences that will not benefit and are not
good for me.
I was also an ethical egoism which ought to act in their own self-interest. I was an ethical egoism where
sometimes, i tend to do something because the other person has something to exchange out of my act.
And also for my own self-interest. I make an act because it will benefit me in a way.
Utilitarian which is to maximize the amount of happiness that we produce from every action. I am a
utilitarian in a way where I act based on where I am happy and where I am contented.
Deontological which states that an act is not good morally can lead to something good. Deontological in
a way where I would do acts that are not moral but not to the point where I would kill people. But i am
just like this if there is a very good reason why I would do such act. I would judge the rightness of action
depending why someone is doing something.
CONCLUSION
To live a morally good life, we should think about an act before doing it. In judging the act to be
good or bad, we should consider so many things such as the reason why a certain person did the act, the
purpose of it as well as what are they trying to achieve. And when our questions are already answered,
then it is when we would tell whether the act done is good or bad, for us. And we should also respect each
other's decision since we have different opinions and choices in life.
