ACTIVITY DESIGN FOR THE LAC SESSION

ON THE INTEGRATION OF CYBERSAFE LESSONS
IN ESP SUBJECTS

I. RATIONALE

Children today are native digital citizens, and CyberSpace is increasingly becoming a more
important part of their lives. It is imperative that we as parents, teachers and caregivers understand
the realms of the online world and how children generally fare in this largely unchartered space.
Only then can we design the proper interventions to make the internet a safer place for our
children.

This Learning Action Cell (LAC) session is an attempt to understand how children live online
and we as teachers or parents can apply necessary precautions to safeguard our children from the
possible undesirable effects of cyberspace.

II. OBJECTIVES

This LAC session aims to achieve the following:

1. to provide information to Junior High School EsP teachers about CyberSafe Lessons; and
2. to make an EsP lesson plan with integration of the CyberSafe lessons.

III. DATE, VENUE, PARTICIPANTS, MATERIALS NEEDED AND ACTIVITIES

a. Date: August 12-13, 2019

b. Time Schedule: 3:00 to 5:00 PM

c. Venue: DORSHS-JHS ComLab

d. Participants: EsP Teachers of DORSHS Junior High School

e. Materials needed by each participant: laptop, EsP CG, TG and LM, DLL in EsP (softcopy)
