Interpretation
The above table and chart shows the age group of respondents. 51% of respondents are between
21-30 years, 39% of respondents are between 31-40 years, 8% of respondents are between 41-60
years and 2% of respondents are 61 and above. This shows that the age group of 21-30 years see
maximum of Television service.

Interpretation
The above table and chart shows the occupation of respondents. 65% of respondents are salaried
person, 16% are Business Person, 1% is Professionals, 14% are self- employed, and 4% belong
to other occupation. So majority of respondents are salaried person i.e., 65%.

Interpretation
Above chart and table shows that 78% of people prefer DTH connection over cable connection at
their home while 22% of people prefer cable connection over DTH connection. This shows that
majority of respondents prefer DTH connection over cable connection.

Interpretation

From above charts and tables it is observed that out of 78 people who prefer DTH connection
over cable connection at their home, 38% people prefer Tata sky where as16% prefer Airtel,
11% Dish TV, 5% Videocon, 3% GTPL, 2% Reliance, 2% JIO. This shows that majority of
people have Tata sky at their home.

Interpretation
Above table and chart shows that out of 78% of respondents, 69.2 % of people have only one
connection at their home while 24.4 % have two connection and 6.4 % people have more than 2
connections at their home. This shows that majority of respondents prefer single connection at
their home.

Interpretation

It is clearly understood from above charts and tables that higher clarity is the reason that attracts
majority of people towards DTH connection over cable connection followed by factors like
Economical, Better services, higher variety, Easy to manage. It also shows that 21 out of 78
people thinks higher clarity is the reason, 19 thinks economical, 13 thinks better services is the
reason, 6 thinks higher variety, 3 thinks easy to manage, while 16 thinks all are the reason to
prefer DTH connection.

Interpretation

The above table and chart shows out of 78% of respondents who prefer DTH connection at their
home, 33.3% pay up to Rs 150, 26.9% pay between Rs 150-200, 16.7% pay between Rs 200-300
and 23.1% pay more than Rs 300. So it can be concluded that maximum of respondents i.e.,
33.3% pay up to Rs 150.

Interpretation

The above table and chart shows the number of channels in respondent’s monthly package and
these are as follows; 11.5% have around 75 channels, 42.3% have around 100 channels, 21.8%
have around 150 channels and 24.4% have more than 150 channels. Hence, majority of
respondents i.e., 42.3% have around 100 channels.

Interpretation
The above table and chart represents preference of respondents about which type of channel they
prefer to watch, HD or Non HD. The result shows that 34.6% prefer HD channels, 33.3% prefer
Non HD channels while 32.1% prefer both. So it can be concluded that maximum of respondents
that is 34.6%, prefer HD channels.

Interpretation
The above table and chart shows the preferences of those respondents who prefer DTH
connection to cable connection at their home. The figure and diagram represents respondent’s
preference about kind of package they prefer. 48.7% prefer customized package while 51.3%
prefer the packages that are offered by service provider. Therefore, it can be concluded that
maximum of respondents i.e., 51.3% prefer the channel that are offered by service provider.

Interpretation
The above table and charts shows about ease of recharge, are they getting any problem or they
get easily recharge of DTH connection. 85.9% of people said they don’t find any problem while
doing recharge but remaining 14.1% said they face some problems while doing recharge of DTH
Connection.

Interpretation
The above table and chart shows out of 78% of people who prefer DTH over cable connection
are getting attracted toward DTH through their marketing scheme. 20.5% of respondents attract
by discount offers, 16.7% attract by promotional offers, 20.5% attract by brand image, 2.6%
attract by advertisement, 23.1% attract by picture quality and 16.7% attract by its economical
packages. Therefore it can be concluded that majority of respondent are getting attracted by
marketing scheme of Picture quality.

Interpretation
The above table and chart shows the data about feature that are available in respondent’s DTH
connection, but not used by them. 56.3% respondents said that they do not use recording of TV
program, 31.3% of respondents do not use interactive services, 12.5% of respondents do not use
program reminder. Therefore, it can be concluded that the least used feature is recording of TV
program.

Interpretation
The above table and chart shows the reason why respondents do not use DTH services. Out of
100 people 22% people are those who use cable connection over DTH connection. Out of those
22 %, 59.1% do not use DTH connection because of high price, 27.3% do not use it due to poor
service while 13.6% do not use DTH because of poor signals. Therefore it can be concluded that
majority of respondents i.e., 59.1% do not use DTH services because of high price.
