Critique:
Ghajini is an Indian movie with Hindi-language action thriller. When we say a film produced from India it is
expected to have some scenes in content, wherein the main characters are singing or dancing, somehow an
advertisement, which is very common to every Indian film, and this kind of concept is part of their culture in terms
of film-making, the style of their singing and dancing. The Ghajini plays the same, as expected, it has the same
concept and content of singing and dancing it shows.

The movie does not actually emphasize stereotype, every characters in this movie has different abilities
how much more Sanjay, he is a very strong man unlike the others even Ghajini. At first he is not actually strong,
but when Kalpana was killed and all of in his mind is to get revenge, imagine how strong he is, that even Ghajini’s
men tried to hit him with a metal weapon nothing will bleed on him. Also Kalpana, she is very generous unlike her
co-workers and friends, unlike Ghajini who does not even have a concern to other people, he does everything
what he pleases. They are actually different to one another.

Talking about the characters of the movie if they played a real-life situations, I can say they really do, in
terms of crimes happened in the movie, as we can observe in our society crimes are unstoppable. As of Kalpana's
situation by playing along to what others thinks and thoughts of her just in order not to be behind by them, it is
common in this generation in our society even this movie was shown 9 years ago, but it is still existing to the
characteristics of some people. And, Sanjay getting revenge to Ghajini as he killed Kalpana, who is the first love of
Sanjay and the one and only he will love for the rest of his life, this situation is common in our society as well as in
our Filipino dramas and films. Other situations happened and shown in the movie are not actually common in the
society.

The main point of the movie, Ghajini is getting revenge for your love ones, because in this movie it
emphasizes justice for everyone. Aside from that, it sends a message to everyone to be generous, as how Kalpana
plays her role in this movie, and that even before, technology was predominant, as Sanjay Singhania said during his
interview about his mobile company, “I strongly feel that technology has to reach people beyond social and
economic barriers”. Also care more our brain, wherein Sanjay suffered from short term memory loss, and as the
doctor said to his medical students including Sunita, “Brain is the most important organ of the human body. It’s the
brain that controls every human body part. The most vital component in the human system. Brain is the king of all
human body part”. Lastly, but not the least which is the main concept of this movie, is the so-called “love”. Love is
the most powerful weapon we can have and we can bring everywhere we goes, which it may allows us to be
happy, feel free, sad, broken, contented, everything we can felt, as well as it can makes us to do crimes even killed
people. Love is very angerouss when you cannot handle it properly.

This movie is actually about a man who suffers from a short term memory loss after getting hit by a metal,
and wanted to get avenge who killed her girlfriend. This movie has a very nice concept and interesting story
although it is not tearful like other movies. Also, you will get curious and will continue to watch it even it last long
for about 3 hrs and 5 minutes. But, the only thing that makes the story weak is the quality of their action scenes,
sometimes it is too fast then too slow, and you can clearly see that it is unreal. Actually, the quality of the whole
movie is out-of-date since this movie was released on 2008. About the actors, Ghajini Dharmatma, the villain does
not suits him being as the villain of the movie, his acting skills is not convincing although he is a big guy with a
black-colored skin that makes him plays the role as the villain, whereas he even played the role of being killer and a
gang leader. Unlike Sanjay Singhania, his acting skills is quite something really good and impressive, has handsome
looks that suits him as a rich businessman who owns a company and building, especially when he became anger
that want to get revenge he is really fearless. And, about Kalpana, she plays her role accurately being as a model
and generous lady. For overall review, it is satisfying to watch and recommended to everyone.
