 To serve the best quality and most interesting varieties of coffees, teas, espresso drinks
and accompaniments at all times to everyone.

Solution:

 Having lots of competitors is expected especially when you are starting up a new
business and the best way to gain lots of customers is to offer them something that they
haven’t experienced yet with the other coffee shop . To gain our customers satisfaction
we are willing to give them free services such as free wi-fi connection to avoid their
boredom while drinking a cup of coffee/tea. We are also planning to sell some dessert
that will match their choice of coffee.
 Finding prospective customers is not that easy but there are lots of ways to attract them,
First is we can advertise our business on any social networking sites. Implementing a
social media strategy will greatly increase our brand recognition since we will be engaging
with a broad audience of consumers. And also we can give flyers around, by using flyer
marketing we can also be able to reach more people than any other promotional tools. By
printing many copies, we will able to share our business information with those who
might not have any social networking sites.

 Finding the right employees is a must, since my business is about coffee shop I will hire
someone who has experience in serving different types of coffee, those who can bake
desserts. We are also looking for employees who are friendly, organized, detail-
oriented, clean and excellent communicators because in order for us to have a better
relationship with our customers we need to hire those who have a great personality.
 Time Management is probably one of the biggest problem, especially for the new
entrepreneurs. In your own business, you’ve to take care of everything unlike a regular
job where you only have to take care of certain tasks. Here are some ways to manage the
time efficiently, first is to create goal lists: Make a lifetime goals list and break it down to
annual, monthly, weekly and daily goals. That way, your daily goal will be in front you
and you just have to be on track, second is to delegate the jobs that don’t require your
personal involvement, third is simply eliminate the unnecessary tasks, and lastly is to
assess yourself on a regular basis.
 For the environment, we will make sure that our customers will feel the comfort while
sipping their cup of tea. To improve the ambiance of our coffee shop we will make an
effort in making the interior design, we will choose the design that will make our
customers feel comfortable.
 Keeping ourselves motivated can also sometimes be a problem. When you start a
business you have to motivate yourself and your employees ,we should not lose sight
on why we started the business and also make sure to listen to our customers needs and
please them as much as we can to sustain a successful business.

Literature Review
A coffee shop can be quite similar to bar and a restaurant. The title itself
eminently suggests that the main product is coffee but at present, coffee shops offers light
snacks and tea. Some of the coffee houses, as what other people call it, also offer
customers several food choices from cupcakes to cakes, pasta, muffins, soup, cold drinks,
sandwiches and many other more. From a cultural perspective, coffee shops became a
center and perfect location for social interaction that provides people a venue to meet,
talk, write, read or pass time, whether with or without company.
Earlier studies reveal that boosting the growth of coffee businesses have positive
effect when it comes to tourism.
(Festijo et al., 2013)Coffee proves to be an ideal beverage within the society. This is
based on its roles and functions in enhancing interactions and communications or
relationships within the society. It is ideal to have coffee shops that operate on a daily basis
thus serving the needs and preferences of the population in the context (Jakle, 2002). One of
the most essential reasons for the consumption of coffee by students is the need to stay
refreshed and focused for most of the time.
This is an illustration on why most students and the staff of numerous universities prefer
coffee shops that operate on a 24/7 basis thus addressing their refreshment needs (Lewis,
2011). From this perspective, coffee plays a critical role in the enhancement of the
performance of students within the institutions. Coffee also plays a critical role in the
bonding aspect of human existence.
Various individuals including students make coffee shops their meeting points to interact
on personal and common issues. These interactions range from social communication or
meeting to personal relationships between couples and girlfriend and boyfriend interaction. It
is ideal to note that coffee is an aspect or component for bonding as it is a reflection of
friendship and togetherness among the students and other stakeholders. Most individuals also
depend on coffee for biological reasons. These may include prevention or delaying of certain
diseases (Parkinson’s disease), elimination of rectal cancer, prevention of dizziness
especially among the old population, and elimination of certain types of diabetes. In the act
of consuming coffee, it is ideal to obtain effective and efficient services thus ability to save
time and energy. Adoption and implementation of drive-thru services acts towards the
automation of activities within the coffee shops (Balch, 2006).
