What Is The Relationship Between The Mass Of An Object And Its Weight?
Let's do the experiment!

This activity is all about experimenting with different objects and see what the relationship between mass
of an object and its weight (gravitational force). Work in groups of 2 or 3 as you follow the instructions to
do this experiment.

What is the relationship between the mass of an object and it's weight?
HYPOTHESIS:
Write a hypothesis for this investigation.

MATERIALS and APPARATUS:

 Object with different mass
 Spring balance
 Triple beam balance
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Measure the mass of each object on the triple beam balance.
2. Calculate the weight of each object by formula W = m x ag
3. Measure the weight of each object with the spring balance.
4. Record the mass and matching weight in the results table.
5. Draw a graph of your results.
