VIDEO PRESENTATION

1. Presentation must be delivered in English.

2. Each presentation is 10 - 15 minutes long.

3. Submit your video presentation to your FACE TO FACE TUTOR.

4. Submission date: 29th Mac 2020.

5. This video presentation accounts for 40% of the total marks for the course.

TASK FOR VIDEO PRESENTATION

PURPOSE
Many speakers suffer from some degree of nervousness and anxiety before they
have to speak to an audience. There are many ways to alleviate this problem. One of
the ways is through using video presentation.
The purpose of this task are:
a. to train learners to conquer their fear of speaking in front of a live audience,
boost their self-confidence and project themselves better in diverse situations;
and
b. to develop the learners’ ability in applying specific skills and strategies that are
required in an oral presentation by equip them with value added skills such as
IT, creativity and innovation, etc.

TASK

This task is an individual assignment and the title of the video presentation is “Tips
on How to Improve Your Pronunciation”.

Pronunciation is not about acquiring a native English accent. The most important
aspect in learning pronunciation skills is the ability to speak clearly, so that the
listener easily understands you.

The followings are the areas that you need to consider in preparing the video:

a. Prepare a ten to fifteen minutes video presentation explaining the facts and
your views regarding the given title.
b. You can refer to various resources or use your personal observations,
experience, and knowledge for creating the content, but make sure that the
content of the video is appropriate to your targeted audience.
c. You need to decide who you are as a presenter, your targeted audience, the
surroundings, and other aspects to consider even though you are not going to
mention it verbally in the presentation (OR you can decide to mention this

aspect in your introduction of the video. In other words, you are free to be the
“director” and the “producer” of the video!).
d. You are encouraged to use creativity and innovation in producing the video by
catering both brain’s visual and auditory systems, body language, facial
expressions, imagery and music, etc.
e. Visual aids are compulsory.

Refer to the assignment rubrics as a guide to achieve cohesion and coherence.
