Communication process

Communication- is the two-way process wherein the message in the form of


ideas, thoughts, feelings, opinions is transmitted between two or more persons
with the intent of creating a shared understanding.
Communication process- is the steps in order to communicate or exchanging of
information (a message).

Feedback

Sender- also called communicator or source. The sender has some kind of information or
–a command, request, or idea- that he she wants to share with others. In order for the
message to be received, the sender must first encode the message in a form that can be
understood then transmit.

Encoding- means converting or translating the idea into a perceivable orm that can be
communicated to other.

The message or the content – is the information that the sender wants to relay to the
receiver. It is relayed between the parties. Put all together and you have the
communication process as its most basic.

The medium or the channel

Is the means by which a message is transmitted through the medium of cellphones.

Medium from:

 Hearing
 Seeing
 Touching (gesturing)
 Smelling
 Tasting

Decoding is the receivers interpretation of the senders message. The receiver converts the
message into thought and tries to analyze and understand it. Coomunication can occur only
when the receiver assign the same or similar meanings to the message.

The receiver
The person to whom a message is directed is called the receiver or the interpreter. In
order to comprehend the information from the sender, the receiver must first be able to
receive the sender information and then decode or interpret.

Feedback

The final steps of communication process are feedback. Feedback means the receiver
response to the sender’s message. It increase the effectively of the message.

The communication process reaches its final point when the message has been successfully
transmitted, received, and understood.

-may direct, such as a written or verbal response, or it may take the form of an act or deed
in response.
