PERSONAL STATEMENT

1. Why are you interested to take up graduate studies? What purpose does a graduate degree
serve in your long-term professional goal?

I am interested to take up graduate studies for the following reasons. First, I am interested

to teach in MSU-IIT and it requires to have a master’s degree at least. It is my dream to teach

in the said Institution, so that I can share my expertise in the field of science. Second, I want to

do a research that can help to my fellow aspiring scholars in this country. Through this, I can

pay back in the government for shouldering all my expenses and allowances for being a DOST-

SCHOLAR during my undergraduate days. Third, I am passionate to continue expanding my

knowledge on over the course of my life. In doing so, I can nourish my skills and to have a

practical application on my field.

The day when I finished the master’s degree, it will make me more marketable and

respectable in the society because of the fact that not all people can have a master’s degree.

The degree will serve in my long-term professional goal as a person who is committed

individual and trusted person in different positions or jobs related to my field. In addition, it

will give me a sense of accomplishment and victory because it will just prove to myself how

dedicated I am in pursuing an extra mile in my professional career. Aside from having a sense

of accomplishment, lifelong learning is one of the many benefits I can get in earning a master’s

degree. It will help me to improve my researching, writing, and analyzing skill set. As a result,

I will become a better problem solver and can finish the task more easily. Henceforth, this

degree will be my reminder that I can do anything whatever I set in my mind.
