Introduction
This guide contains information on bus, tram, train and Tram Train services operating over the festive period.

It’s great news again!

On Boxing Day special bus services funded by Buses for Sheffield and on New Year’s Day special bus services funded
by Sheffield City Council will run in Sheffield.

These services will be operated by First, Stagecoach and TM Travel on Boxing Day and by First on New Year’s Day.
Normal fares, concessions and any relevant restrictions apply on both days. Please note that if a bus route is provided
by a different operator to normal, weekly and monthly tickets only of the normal operator already purchased will be
valid for travel. Otherwise for multi operator use a Citywide ticket is needed for travel, and also to use Supertram.

Train and Tram Train services will not operate on Boxing Day but will operate on New Year’s Day. Supertram Special
Blue and Yellow routes will operate on both days. Normal fares will apply in both cases.

Travel passes, TravelMaster tickets and season tickets will also be accepted. Normal child fares will apply.

Traveline and disruptions information

Please note the Traveline service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. During this period
no live updates will be issued through Twitter or the disruptions page on the Travel South Yorkshire website.

Park & Ride, Ticketing & TravelMaster

Park & Ride during Christmas and New Year
Please be aware that during the Christmas and New Year period there will be changes to park and ride facilities. Take
advantage of FREE PARKING at Park & Ride sites in Sheffield on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day - just pay for the cost
of travel on the tram.
Ticketing
Concessionary Travel
The 0930 travel restriction will be removed for senior concessionary pass holders between Thursday 26 December 2019
and Wednesday 1 January 2020 inclusive. Customers may use their pass during this period to obtain free travel on bus,
tram and tram train services, and half fare travel on Northern services within South Yorkshire, from the beginning to
the end of service.
TravelMaster tickets
TravelMaster cannot be refunded or extended for days when there are few or no public transport services.
Please ensure you check your public transport service is operating before purchasing your product.

Bus - Monday to Friday service will be operated by: Hulleys of Baslow, Powells Bus,
Sheffield Community Transport, Stagecoach (Services 44, 58 and M92 only) and TM Travel.

Saturday service on all other operators’ services with the following exceptions:

First - Additional early morning journeys will be added to the Saturday service operating on
all First services in Sheffield.

Stagecoach - Additional early morning journeys will be added to the Saturday service operating on
the following services in Sheffield:

1, 2, 7, 7a, 25, 83a, 88, SL1, SL1a and X2.

The following Stagecoach services will operate as a normal Monday service:
44, 58 and M92.

Tram - Saturday service with last departures between 1800 and 1900.
Train - Normal service with last departures at approximately 2000.
Tram Train - Saturday service with last departures between 1800 and 1900.

Tram - Services will operate to a special timetable which starts from around 0600. Last departures from around 2100.
Festive Special Blue Route (Halfway - Meadowhall via Cathedral) plus Yellow Route (Meadowhall -
Middlewood). See special timetables in this leaflet. There will be no service on the Purple Route.
