26 bags of 3.5oz Pleated Pouches were made during the last weekend of September, they were sampled by QC as per
Procedure, multiple samples found to have dents on the lip on top of the neck, which was suspected to cause a leak.
So, Challenging the product Quality we initiated a Test Procedure for Selected samples of the worst Lip defect, as shown
in below processes.
1. Leak test with air. Filled the pouches with 20 and 60 PSI air. Submerged them in water for at least 20 seconds to observe
any air bubbles indicating a leak. No leak found.
2. Picture of the defects. (scratches on the lip / scratch on the side / and inside the neck.)

3. Three damaged pouches were assembled on the lab crimper and vacuumed; waiting 24h to identify if vacuum will be lost.

7. Conclusion
After testing the pouches that had scratches and marks on the neck and lip, we did not find any that leaked with air or
water.
Moreover, we don’t know and not able to test the effect of irradiation on our product, Therefor, we recommend the release
