Task Specifics
Writing Tasks should have: (1) a minimum of four clear paragraphs with two body paragraphs that will appear in any of the following formats: 1) one paragraph
comparing the prompt, and one paragraph contrasting it, 2) two paragraphs that examine comparison points only, or 3) two paragraphs that examine contrast points
only; (2) between 200-250 words; (3) clear topic sentences that establish comparing or contrasting paragraphs; (4) supporting details [reason, elaboration or
examples] in all the compare and/or contrast paragraphs; (5) introduction with thesis statement (6) conclusion with restatement of thesis statement, personal
opinion and/or future prediction.
