Procedures

Time Teaching Activities

3 mins I. Warm up
1. Sing and dance along the song to draw students’ attention after break
time. (from Pink Fong)
2. Divide students into three groups. Whoever answers the questions can get
a poker card.
3. Ask students what I wear today. Get them ready for today’s lesson.

II. Presentation
※ Review vocabulary
7 mins 1. Guess what I bought
Tell students I went shopping yesterday and that they must guess what I
bought. Describe each object in terms they can understand. Show
students the object if they guess correctly, then they repeat the
vocabulary after the teacher.

7 mins 2. Spelling game


Show students vocabulary with some missing letters and read them out
loud. Students apply phonics rules to complete the vocabulary.

7 mins 1. Use PowerPoints slides to ask students questions. Students answer by
using target sentence pattern.

7 mins 1. What is he/ she wearing? (from Games to Learn English)
Do a quick review before playing. Read the sentence and then drag and
drop the correct clothing item over the correct person.

7 mins 2. Musical clothes


Play the music and students pass the dice around. When the music stops,
whoever is holding the dice takes a picture out of the bag and says what
they are wearing. The game continues until the bag is empty.

Whole class: What are you wearing?


Student: I am wearing __________.

III. Wrap up
2 mins
1. Reward the group that has the most poker cards.
2. Remind students what to do and what not to do during break time.
