SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION

QUALIFICATION: SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING NC II

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

Given the necessary tools, materials and equipment, the candidate must be able to
weld carbon steel pipes in 2G and 5G position using SMAW
 2G and 5G positions in (4) hrs
 6G position in two (2) hrs.

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION
1. Perform rootpass
2. Clean Root pass
3. weld subsequent/filling passes
4. perform capping
5. identify weld defects
6. apply weld techniques
7. observe safety practices
8. pass weld visual inspection
