GAWAD KABALYERO

Objectives

● It aims to give recognition and honor to those individual, group

of people, or organization who have brought a great societal impact in
the Philippines for the year 2019.

● It aims to encourage more individual, public figures, and/or

organization to practice a socially responsible actions in their professions
and field of organization.

● It aims to promote Letran Calamba’s greater public image and

market it to a wider extent.

● It aims to unite Letran Calamba’s Student Organization, Faculty

members, and students with the collaboration for nomination and
awarding of the deserving candidates.

Guidelines for Nomination and Awarding

● Nominees for a certain category will be chosen by the assigned

committee of the Gawad Kabalyero Heads.

● The number of committees that will be involved in the process of

choosing candidates for the nomination will not be limited to ten (10)
and shall not exceed to twenty (20) individuals coming from the major
School Organizations.

● The nomination will be discussed and processed by the committee

and heads on the five (5) consecutive days of the first week of March.
 ● A committee who wish to nominate an individual or organization on
a certain category will have to refer to the criteria to make a valid
nomination.

● The committee who wish to nominate an individual or organization

shall present proof and evidences as of why his/her candidate is qualified
for the nomination.

● Failure to submit proofs and evidences will not be taken to

consideration.

● In every individual award, there will be a minimum of three (3) and

a maximum of seven (7) final nominees to be chosen on.

● All nominations will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

● The final nominees of the awards will receive a formal nomination

letter and an invitation thru email or other social media platforms.

● Letran Calamba’s College students (1st year- 5th year) are those that
will participate on choosing the most deserving candidates for the
awards.

● The nominee with the highest number of votes gained from the
student’s choice via online/system voting will be considered as the
winner of the award.

● Nominee’s number of votes will be ranked from highest to lowest

and only one with the highest votes will receive the award.

● Circumstances such as tied number of votes will undergo to a tie

breaker led by the committees and heads.

● The awarding of the Gawad Kabalyero winners will be done every

May.
  The awards and recognitions will be presented by the “Special
Commissioners (SC)/ Student Leaders (SL)”
