Performance Objective: The golfers will be able to take a backswing transition to the
downswing and follow through with the weight on their front foot 5 times.
Resources or Materials Needed: Video Camera, Golf Club, V1 Golf App, and K-Vest.
Time: 2.5 Hours
Step 1: Pre-Instructional Activities:
Ask the golfers if they have hit a ball with a bat?
Ask the golfers if they have ever skipped a rock?
Remind the golfer how to grip the club.
Remind the golfers the functions of the V1 Golf App.
Introduce the K-Vest technology.
Step 3: Learner Participation: The golfers will be paired up for the participation segments.
The golfers will use the V1 Golf App to video themselves from behind and down the line
to see their setup, alignment, and swing plane. They will draw lines on the video frames
to get feedback of the positions of their swing.
The golfers will take the club back halfway 10 times.
The golfers will take the club back halfway and pause, then take the club to the top of
their backswing 10 times.
The golfer will transition weight to front foot.
The golfer will take the club halfway down on the downswing 10 times.
The golfer will take the club halfway down and pause then to impact zone 10 times.
The golfer will take the club from impact zone to follow through 10 times.
The golfers will use the K-Vest and sensors for feedback of the positions of their body
and the positions of the club at different points of the swing.
Step 4: Assessment:
The golfers will demonstrate a full golf swing that is on plane and finish with their weight
on the front foot 10 times. The golfers will also be assessed by the V1 Golf App and the K-Vest
as they demonstrate a full golf swing that it is on plane and finish with the correct weight
pressure on the front foot 10 times.
Step 5: Follow-Through Activities:
The golfers will video themselves making full golf swings. They will use repetition to
and corrective video to reinforce the swing. The golfers will use the V1 Golf App and the K-
Vest while using repetition for corrective feedback.
