Why did David pick up five stones to fight Goliath?

Didn't David trust the Lord? Did David think he was going to miss Goliath or not kill him
with the first shot? David picked up five stones because David thought he was going to fight
not only Goliath but also his four brothers. David trusted the Lord so much he knew he would
have defeated all 5 of them if they were there.

Did Goliath have four brothers or did he have for sons or maybe they were no relations?

2 Samuel 21:16-22 And And Ishbi-Benob, one of the descendants of Rapha, whose bronze
spearhead weighed three hundred shekels and who was armed with a new [sword], said he would
kill David. But Abishai son of Zeruiah came to David's rescue; he struck the Philistine down and killed
him. Then David's men swore to him, saying, "Never again will you go out with us to battle, so that
the lamp of Israel will not be extinguished." In the course of time, there was another battle with the
Philistines, at Gob. At that time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Saph, one of the descendants of
Rapha. In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite
killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.

In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on
each hand and six toes on each foot--twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha.
When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimeah, David's brother, killed him.
These four were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his
men.

1 Chronicles 20:4-8 NIV 1984 In the course of time, war broke out with the Philistines, at
Gezer. At that time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Sippai, one of the descendants of the
Rephaites, and the Philistines were subjugated.
In another battle with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath
the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.
In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on
each hand and six toes on each foot--twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha.
When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him.
These were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.

According to these two verses Rapha was a giant who had five sons: Goliath, Ishbi-benob,
Saph (or Sippai), Lahmi, and the unnamed 24-digited brother.

David did trust the Lord with all his heart and soul.

David had so much faith that each stone he picked up was to defeat each son of Rapha.
