CHILDREN OF TODAY, FUTURE OF TOMORROW

Now is the time to bulid a solid foundation in order to save the country and the
people. First of all, you must learn to be agood person.

Young friends, lend me you ears. I want to say a few words to you today. You are
the pillars of our country. You should do great things and work for world peace and the
welfare of humankind.

The wealth of a nation is not so much in its economical and natural resources but
it lies more decidedly in the kind and quality of the wealth of its children and the youth. It
is them, who will be the creators and shapers of a nation’s tomorrow.

We, the children of today will be adults of tomorrow. Today’s leaders and
activists. Their quality and personality will determine the kind of destiny that beackons
the nation.

Children are one-third of our population and all of our future. The best inheritance
parents could give to their children is a few minutes of their time each day, for children
are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.

It is poignant that many children of today are robbed of their innocence by

damaging influences within their lives or from the outside world. Some are forced to
grow up too soon and face a perilous future. Some are troubled by the breakdown of
family life or peer pressure.

As a future of tomorrow, we children should give good values so that we might

think what is right or wrong. Parents are the first teacher of us, so as a duty of every
parents, they must have a control over the children so that it may not get out from their
wrist. Every child has a devil of naughtyness, but it should not create his profession of
teasing his/her teachers or his/her friends. This is not only reflects the background of
the children but also the manners given by the parents. It is the responsibility of the
adults to direct the children and the youth in desired direction. The children and youth of
a nation is its power-house. They have a boundless stores of energy, will, capability,
zeal and enthusiasm and have the power to mould the destiny of the nation.

We also, often hear of children from poverty-stricken or exremely poor

backgrouds achieving outstanding performances in academics at schools. This just
proves once again that we children is capable of many feats and accomplishments. All
we need is proper channelization of abilities, right guidance and training and a desired
environment. Given this, the posterity is sure to lead the nation to greater heights and
newer worlds.

We are the promise of the future we bring.
Waving the banner of love to all
To every nation, the rich and the poor

We have the yearning to do what is best

Be someone special from all of the rest
Nation and brothers in unity
Building tomorrow for you and for me.

It reminds our generation that we will be the future leaders of our nation, and that
we should grow well and improve ourselves in order to be worthy instruments of God, to
truly be a person for others. This song tells us that we have a responsibility to
ourselves, to others, and to our country. It also reminds me that I meant for greater
things, and that I should transcend from mediocrity, I would put my God-given talents,
my potentials, my entire life to waste. I hope it will have a similar or more revolutionary
effect on you, too!
