Week 5 blog: 

Charlie’s feedback: 

 
I will admit that I do need to upload previous work and I am falling 
behind slightly, I will use the week break to add in what I am lacking, I 
also need to add a bibliography. I have learnt from marking Charlie’s 
work that ‘Gen Z’ spends an average of 15.4 hours on their phones as 
well as ‘Gen Z’ being called ‘Social networkers’, ‘digital natives’ and 
‘realistic’ among other things. This will help me as I need to do research 
into my target audience, secondary research in particular. 
 
What genre did I choose? 
I choose the slasher genre as well as using parts from crime & Giallo 
movies to showcase off heavily stylised scenes with heavy saturation to 
one colour or two. I have yet to find a good source to view these on as 
streaming services don’t seem to be working. 
 
What productions have you looked at? 
I looked at some scenes from slasher films like ‘Friday the 13th’ and 
actually looked into behind the scenes documentaries for ‘Wishmaster’, 
‘Halloween’ and ‘Friday the 13th’, I have yet to put these on my website. 
  
 
Test footage 

 
I have used my SFX makeup head (named Gwen) to assist me in creating 
some test footage. 
  
I went around the college campus ‘searching’ for places which could be 
looked at as creepy. 
 
Things I will do in the following week: 
 
I have a lot of things to upload and edit, I will be filming more next week, 
so I can get test footage. I am undecided as to the matter of coming in 
next week as I don’t know what I would do at that time.
