Specification Data

Preparation
Steel
Dry shot or grit blasting is recommended, the required standard of cleanness being in accordance with ISO
8501-1 Sa 2.5 or SSPC-SP10.
Surface profile should be between 75 and 90 microns in depth.

Concrete
Remove all dirt, dust and other contaminants preferably by means of light grit blast.

Application Data

Mixing Ratio by Weight Base : 1 part


Hardener : 1 part

Mixing Advice Prior to application, stir the A-component, add B-component and mix thoroughly
to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Use a mixer for this which is powered by air or
a flameproof electric motor.
The mixing of the yellow base component and the blue hardener is completed
when a uniform green colour is reached.

Thinning None, when mixed, the compound is ready for use.

Pot Life Pot Life at 20°C : 2 Hours


Pot Life at 30°C : 1 Hour
Pot Life at 40°C : 0.5 Hour

Application Details Application Temperature : 5 - 50°C.


The minimum temperature required for satisfactory drying is 10°C. The surface
temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point to prevent condensation.
Never apply paint under adverse weather conditions.

The recommended method of application is by trowel, knife or by hand protected


with rubber gloves.
SIP-SPLASH 640 is suitable for under water application.
On wet surfaces SIP-SPLASH 640 has to be applied carefully in order to avoid
air or water entrapment between coating and substrate.
Do not mix more material that can be used within 30 minutes.

Cleaning of Equipment Use Thinner 740.

Storage Information
Pack Size 5 ltr. two component kit.
Storage Store generally in original sealed container, indoors, at a temperature between 5
and 40C and relative humidity below 70%.
Shelf Life 12 Months
