1. How does the authentic communication of executives affect their employee’s

perception of their leadership?

 It is an organizational communication topic as it explores how authentic

communication is perceived by employees which is a way to view the effectivity of

this form of communication within an organization.

 The most prominent ethical issue with pursuing this topic is the question of privacy.

The participants (executives and employees) have a right to privacy and this research

could be seen as intruding as it tries to gain sensitive information (how employees feel

about their bosses when or when not using authentic communication), which could be

used against them.

2. How do employees perceive superiors who communicate with them informally in

the workplace?

 It is an organizational communication topic as it tries to know how effective informal

communication of superiors with employees is. How it would affect employee

performance, and perception towards their superiors and the company as a whole.

 An ethical issue when pursuing this topic is confidentiality. Though the researchers

have a way to identify which employee answered what, it is important for this

information to not be released to the public or even to their superiors, only the

findings of the research must be shared with the organization because the participants

whose answers do not align with the personal feelings of an executive or superior

could be subject to unfair treatment.
