SPEECH FOR OFW

Good day to everyone especially to our ever dynamic teacher and my beloved
classmates. Today, I will be discussing and will give my profound insights with regards
to the topic: OFW.

Since time immemorial, OFW that stands for Overseas Filipino workers, has been a
notable topic. In a nutshell, OFW is a person from the Philippines who is living and
working in another country and its been recorded by Philippine National Statistics about
2.3 million Filipinos are working abroad. These Filipinos chose to redirect their path
overseas. For the reason; they have found huge opportunities lying outside the country.
However, one thing was left unnoticed, there's a problem looming large over the
horizon. That, not all who went abroad have good stories to tell; Some experienced
oppression, maltreatment, worse, our fellow Filipinos die under the hands of their cruel
employer. But one may ask why do they still choose this perilous path?

Straightforwardly, OFW’s hopes to build a vibrant and ensured future. The fact that the
government trying their best to full of giving jobs to improve the lives of its citizens but
still it wasn’t enough. Some Filipinos were left jobless, worse, Filipinos who belonged to
the poverty line becomes poorer than ever so the opportunities abroad becomes their
driving force with the hope to change their lives economically. However, its families
should be left, putting the time for their family as a sacrifice. Sad truth , it becomes one
of the factors that results to a broken family. Their children would be rebellious in the
absence of guidance, the partner that will be left might become unfaithful. Given the
fact, that we’re in the age of technology, OFW’s could wirelessly connect to their family,
but somehow it becomes ineffective.

, there are myriad reasons why this OFW phenomenon is happening but I can’t tell
each of it. But surely what we can do to them is to hope for their welfare and safety.

To children who have parents working abroad, keep your morale high because
everything they do is for your good.

To the government, may you redouble all your support to the Filipino. Thus, there must
be massive and stabilize support that would transform the lives of people present at the
bottom part of our country. Upholding firmly to a hope that there will come a time that
everything here in the Philippines is sustainable; not even a single of Filipino needs to
go outside just to seek opportunities that they can’t see to its own country. Also, I'm
hoping no family, no children, no loved ones should be left behind.
