Economic Perspective

The iron and steel industry are a main driving forces for the industrial and economic development in
Malaysia. As we know iron and steel industry has wide connection to supply raw materials and
components to different sectors which are construction industry, automotive industry, electronic/
electrical industry, machinery and engineering fabrication industries (Shaaban & Khalid,2011). For
our scope of this project , it will focus on capital cost ( Air & Water) for various phase in steelmaking
process include (blast furnace ,basic oxygen furnace, blooming and sheet mills) for finishing and
