Narrative Report on the 2019 Municipal Athletic Meet

I. Introduction/Rationale
Sports in one way not only to show the skills and talents of the pupils
but also to develop the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among
individuals.

Another purpose of this activity is to enable pupils to realize their

strength and weaknesses and be able to improve on each area. It will also
help them to derive from doing obnoxious things that might hinder them in
achieving a bright future.

Finally, the purpose of the said activity is to choose the best and the
finest players who will compete and represent their respective district to
the Eddis Level.

II. Activities Undertaken

The first activity is the Parade where the athletes from the two
districts (San Rafael East and West Districts) together with the School
Heads, Sports Coordinator, coaches and athletes are all present.

It is then followed by the program by the general assembly of the

athletes and officials held at San Rafael Central School. The opening
program started with the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Mrs.
Agnes Castaneda, a teacher from San Rafael Central School followed by an
opening prayer led by Mrs. Marilyn Romero which is also from the host
school. After the heart touching prayer, the ever-beautiful Principal II of San
Rafael Central School, Dr. Lilibeth R. Binuluan, gave her welcome remarks.
After Dr. Binulaan’s inspirational words are the messages of the two
hardworking and energetic District Supervisors of San Rafael East and West
Districts Mrs. Edelmira G. Reyes and Dr. Daniel Ortega to officially declare
the beginning of the 2019 Municipal Athletic Meet. But of course, this event
couldn’t make possible and complete without the people serving in our
beloved municipality. The Sangguniang Bayan headed by our “Mga Pader
ng Bayan Hon. Mayor Cipriano “Goto” Violago, ,Hon. Vice Mayor Edison M.
Veneracion gave their warmest greeetings even though they were not
present because of some important matters. Sangguniang Bayan Councilors
were also present Honorable Aiza Mapoy, Hon. Marciano Sta. Maria, Hon.
Ana Maria Santos also came to
 witness the activity and gave inspirational messages to the young athletes
of San Rafael. After that, Mr.Wilfredo P.Joson, the District Sports Adviser
discussed the different Guidelines and Rules of the Game.
As the day goes on the hoisting of the two District banners and releasing
of balloons as a symbol of unity were raised together by the two
Supervisors, Sports Coordinators, guests and coaches from the two districts.

The flow of the event was a successful one. Everything runs smooth even
the weather was not good. The games were played from the different events
until it reaches the final games to determine the champions of each
competition who will compete to the Eddis Level.

The final part of the activity is the declaration and awarding ceremony
wherein not only the victors have been awarded prizes to recognize their
efforts during the conduct of games but also those who have lost but actively
participated in the activity.

III. Problems Encountered

Problems are inevitable part of every activity conducted. It enables us
to see what to improve in order for a program to become more successful.
During our Municipal Athletic Meet, we have encountered minor problems
due to bad weather condition.
