It was interesting to discover that Spring-Green Lawn Care serves over 7,500 communities around the
nation. This is a display of how the company has grown over the past 30 years with great success. Like
Spring-Green Lawn Care, I am an individual that is driven to succeed and will not stop until I do. Goals
are extremely important to me. As a Business Administration major with experience in the lawn care
category, I would like to be noticed for the managerial position that Spring-Green is in need of.

To achieve my goal of a business management position, I have completed four years of college and
obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I’ve taken multiple courses in different
subjects including accounting, economics, marketing, management information systems, and
foundations of management. In business management, knowledge of those subjects is essential and one
must possess landscaping skills to be a part of Spring-Green Lawn Care.

Working for the city of Richfield, MN gave me the necessary skills that have qualified me for this
position. I was employed in the Public Works sector, and worked with both the Street and Parks
department. In the street department, I gained knowledge and skills while working with the tree crew. I
was involved in planting, trimming, and removing stumps and learned a plentiful amount while doing so.
I acquired experience with underground irrigation systems during my second year at Richfield working
with the parks department. Duties included replacing pipes, heads, and turf repair on the irrigated
soccer and softball fields. I will be able to utilize the skills I have obtained through this employer, and
apply them to the management position that you seek.

Along with the lawn care skills, I also have experience in customer service. I was a gas station attendant
for two years at Clark Convenience Stores and was able to help out customers in need of assistance. This
occupation may not seem very relevant to the position that you seek, but it displays the responsibility
that I have held, due to the fact that I was a key holder for the store. When the manager was not on
duty, it was my responsibility to lock up the store after close.
