General instructions:

1. The assessment of Visual and Performing Arts Practical for the Drama Improvisation
Option will be distributed to candidates only 10 to 15 minutes before the performance /
practical assessment.

2. School administrators will time table sessions for the administration and scoring of the
assessment.

3. Your performance should be approximately 5 -10 minutes in duration.

4. Select ONE topic and create a scene based on it.

DRAMA IMPROVISATION

Choose a topic below and create a short scene based on it.

The teacher will assign students to groups:

1) Your friends are going down to a river and tell you to come.

2) “Common sense come before book sense.”

3) (Any three objects as given by teacher)

Your performance will be scored as follows:

 Communicating with body 5 marks

 Communicating with voice 5 marks

 Communicating with mind 5 marks

(Awareness of the human environment and relationships)

 Awareness/ use of space 5 marks

 The ability to work in groups(Group Cohesiveness) 5 marks

TOTAL 25 MARKS
