Special visit as schools ink MoU

A DELEGATION of 12 students and 26 education officers from Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia visited Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School (SMSSA)
recently.
Held to support the joint agreement on the benchmark for special education, the visit also saw cultural performances by students of both schools
at SMSSA’s Hall.
Acting Head of the Special Education Unit at the Ministry of Education Haji Ali Yusri bin Abdul Ghafor presented a certificate of appreciation to
the Head of Private and Special Education Section of Pahang Haji Rosli bin Abdul Mubin.
The visit also saw a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between SMSSA and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK)
Gudang Rasau. SMSSA Principal Cikgu Danny bin Aimi and SMK Gudang Rasau Principal Hasbullah bin Abdul Latif signed the MoU on behalf of
their schools.
The two schools agreed to collaborate and share ideas and knowledge along with building relationships among teachers and students in the
special education programme.
The delegation also toured Nurkasih, a model inclusive school, to observe how the special education programme is carried out as well as to take
note of the facilities there.
