daughter of Raja Baginda,
his sultanate reached tawi-
tawi, Palawan Basilan and
other parts of Zamboanga.
Mohammed Kabungsuan (1515)
• Arrived from Johore and
established community in
Maguindanao.
• But then, There is a belief that Islam came to Manila
under the leadership of the sultanate of Brunei.

bay, but they were drawn away by the spaniards
that made them no choice but to just go away.
Muslims are the mortal enemy of Spaniards
because Spain was conquered by the Ummayad
Caliphate under General Tariq Bin Ziyad around
711 CE, and that was the reason why Spaniards
were so aggressive in puting out the light of
Islam.
• The Spaniards call Muslims as “moors” or “moros”, the
ancient foes that crossed into spain from Morocco.
