Rheovis FRC
Rheovis FRC is a highly effective rheology modifier and stabilizer
especially suited for softeners. Rheovis FRC is a 55% active,
cationic acrylic polymer based on the liquid dispersion polymer
(LDP) technology. The product is an acrylamide-free polymer,
dispersed in a biodegradable ester. The liquid form of Rheovis FRC
facilitates post addition.

Rheovis AT 120
Rheovis AT 120 is optimized to enable the formulation of
transparent liquid detergents with increased viscosity. Thanks to
its liquid form it can be easily added to the laundry detergent
without pre-dissolving.
Rheovis AT 120 is a 30% active anionic hydrophobic modified
alkaline soluble emulsion (HASE) based on methacrylic acid and
acrylic acid esters. Due to its associative thickening mechanism
Rheovis AT 120 provides an excellent efficacy in surfactant
systems.

Tinosan® HP100
Tinocat® TRS KB2
Tinopal® CBS
Every household desires convenience, energy saving, hygiene and stain-free washing.
BASF’s expertise in high performance chemicals for the fabric care market enables the industry
to introduce laundry detergents to the consumer, which are functional even at temperatures as low
as 20°C and can help to save energy by lowering the washing temperature without compromising
consumer needs.

When stain removal at cold temperatures is no longer a contradiction,

it’s because at BASF: we create chemistry!
BASF’s key ingredients to meet the requirements for cold temperature washing are Tinosan HP 100
(biocide), Tinocat TRS KB2 (oxidation catalyst) and Tinopal CBS types (fluorescent whitening
agents). They are the perfect choice to formulate high performing detergents, which are effective
at temperatures as low as 20°C.
Home Care

Tinosan® HP 100 offers long-lasting antimicrobial efficacy on fabrics.

Tinocat ® TRS KB2 improves the bleaching performance at low temperatures.

Tinopal ® CBS types show outstanding whiteness under cold wash conditions.

Tinosan HP 100
Tinosan HP 100 is a highly effective antimicrobial that provides long-lasting freshness and
antibacterial protection on fabrics. Tinosan HP 100 is compatible with anionic, nonionic,
amphoteric and cationic ingredients. It is stable at high pH values and also soluble in organic
solvents and surfactant solutions.

Long-lasting antibacterial efficacy of Tinosan HP 100
Agar diffusion test

Immediately after washing Two months after washing

Test method:
A cotton fabric has been washed with regular laundry detergent containing
0.5% Tinosan HP 100. For the microbial determination, discs of the treated fabric
(white disc in the middle of the picture) were taken and laid on germ-containing
agar plates (staphylococcus aureus). Immediately after the incubation a dark,
growth-free inhibition circle around the cotton fabric is apparent. Even after two
months Tinosan HP 100 demonstrates its long-lasting antimicrobial effect.

Test method:
30 grams of cotton fabric contaminated with a bacterial suspension [staphylococcus
aureus (ATCC 6538) and klebsiella pneumoniae (ATCC 4352)]/milk mixture (5% in
the liquor); dried for 30 minutes at room temperature. After treatment the cotton
fabric washed in a Linitest machine, ratio of 1:5 fabric/liquor and regular liquid
detergent (HDL) at 40°C for 60 minutes. Fabric rinsed off three times with 150 ml.
Microbial test (AT 100-1998) of washed fabric performed by counting the bacterial
colony forming units (cfu/g textile).
Tinocat TRS KB2
Tinocat TRS KB2 is a highly efficient metal catalyst for products
containing perborate or percarbonate such as bleaching additives,
stain removers and laundry detergents. It especially improves the
bleaching performance at lower temperatures. Tinocat TRS KB2
protects also against discoloration and graying caused by bleachable
stain chromophores and textile dyes in the wash liquor.

Tinopal CBS type fluorescent whitening agents are easy to
incorporate in all kinds of detergent formulations with a high bleach
stability. It delivers outstanding whiteness on cellulosic fabrics,
especially at low-to-medium washing temperatures. Tinopal CBS
