New IT programs at Fanshawe

As you may be aware that Fanshawe College’s employment rate is 90.4% which is ranked 1 among
all the colleges in Ontario; major reason for that is our constant efforts in introducing new
programs which would benefit our international students with employment post completion of the
program(s).

We are proud to introduce two new programs in IT which will start from September 2020
intake. The details of the programs are mentioned below and we will open these programs on
18 th Feb 2020.

1. TSS2 – Technical Systems Analysis (Co-op): This program will enable student to
sort out issues with how to collect and make sense of vast amounts of data in order to
improve their competitive position. A critical role in the facilitation of software/system
development for the purpose of collecting data will be played by the Technical Systems
Analyst. This IT professional will interface with organizational areas to gather their
business (data) requirements and translate them into functional systems design
specifications that can be successfully implemented by IT teams.

Duration: 1 Year

Job Opportunities: Graduates of this program could work as Technical systems Analysts,
Management Information Systems Analysts or Business Intelligence Analysts.

Entry Requirements: IELTS Score of 6.5 with no skill below 6.0 and Bachelors Degree in
IT/Computer Science/Computing. Students with ECE background and some related experience can
be considered as well.

ITI2 – Information Technology Infrastructure: The Information Technology Infrastructure


Graduate Certificate will focus on the practices and skills currently being used in support of the IT
infrastructure. Students will gain valued knowledge and experience working with Windows and
Linux operating systems, Windows server administration, virtualization technologies, and network
and security devices. The program will include hands-on applications and simulations to provide
students with marketable skills in operating systems, networks, and security and will contribute to
preparing the graduate to write a variety of professional certification exams.

Job Opportunities: Graduates of this program will be employed in the computer support field as
a Desktop and Application Support Technician, Computer Technician or Help Desk Technician.

Entry Requirements: IELTS Score of 6.5 with no skill below 6.0 and Bachelors Degree in
IT/Computer Science/Computing/Electronics and Communication.

Duration: 1 Year
