Instructions: Read the text aloud.

Peter: Hello! I'm Peter. We are in the same group for our class project.
Pablo: Hi, I'm Pablo. You're very tall. Where are you from?
Peter: I'm from the United States.
Pablo: Oh, so you're American.
Peter: Yes, I'm from a town called Cambridge. Where are you from?
Pablo: I'm Colombian.
Peter: From where in Colombia?
Pablo: Medellin.
Peter: Oh, that's nice. And what about you?
Tracy: Hi, I'm Tracy. I'm Canadian. I'm from Toronto, Canada.
Peter: What is your family background?
Tracy: My mother is Irish. That's why I have green eyes. She's from a small town
in Ireland.
Peter: Is your father Irish too?
Tracy: No, he isn't Irish, he's from Japan. His hair is black, like mine.
Peter: That's cool! I love Japanese food.

You use Wh-question words to get information.


You use the word Where to find out about a place.

Position of Adjectives

You use adjectives to describe people, places and things.

You place adjectives before nouns (people, places and things), or after the verb to be.
Remember: The short form of He is = He's; She is = She's.
