Possessive adjectives say that something belongs to someone. Each pronoun has a different
possessive adjective.

Asking How Much Things Cost

To ask how much money you have to pay for something, you use the phrase “How much is
... ?" for singular things or “How much are ... ?” for plural things.

You can also say "How much does ... cost?" for singular things or "How much do ... cost?"
for plural things.

Examples:
• How much is the pizza?
It is $12.00. (twelve dollars)
• How much is it?
It costs $500. (five hundred dollars)
