MATHEMATICS IN THE MODERN WORLD

ASSIGNMENT – ESSAY

QUESTION: What is it about mathematics that might have changed your thoughts about it?

I always thought of mathematics being a subject for the academically advanced and gifted. To those people
whose hobbies are numbers, formulas, computations and the like. I wasn’t really a fan of mathematics
because of the fact that me, myself – did had a hard time in comprehending the formulas and computations
before. But in this subject: the activities and its topics, I can attest to the fact that I am comfortable in
knowing new concepts that further induces mathematics as something that actually revolves around us.
The correlation of mathematics in the promulgation of scientific inventions, arts, design, and in nature is
truly fascinating. Math is truly something that us, humans, must be proud of. With years of perfecting
concepts and ideas by significant idealists, mathematicians and scientists and the continuous development
and application of these concepts to technologies and machineries in this modern world – I can truly say
that mathematics will never stop evolving. Furthermore, as your future medical practitioner, I can assure
myself that mathematics will be vital in my future working field.
