JOB DESCRIPTION: Dishwasher / Scullery


TITLE: Dishwasher
REPORTS TO: Chef
SUMMARY: Wash & clean tableware, pots, pans & cooking equipment
Keep the scullery & kitchen clean, organised & sanitised.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
 Wash and store all tableware & kitchenware “as showed”
 Deliver clean glasses to the bar once dried & polished
 Keep Scullery area clean & organised
 Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for diningroom and kitchen
 Separate plate remains and kitchen waste into pig food and general trash
 Bag & Haul trash to the rubbish area as needed
 Handle tableware carefully as to prevent breakage & loss
 Maintain adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies
 Clean food preparation and production areas as required
 Be available to fill in various positions as required
 General cleaning duties
 Food prep duties if the chefs require it
 Other restaurant tasks as required.

Requirements:
 No prior restaurant experience needed
 Be able to work in hot, humid & loud environment for long periods of time
 Be able to lift, bend, reach & stoop
 Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
 Be able to communicate effectively & clearly
 Be able to lift bags, cases and stacks of up to 30 kg up to 30 times per shift.
