COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PROPOSAL

I .Title : Sports Clinic

IV. Target Clientele: Grade 3-6 learners of Gerona North Central Elementary School

V. Rationale :

In recent times, experts in sports have identified that most talented athletes
discover the game at their later years, this is because more priority is given to the
senior while the children are being neglected.
Due to these observations, the Gerona North Central Elementary School will
organize a Sport Clinic for the recreation and identification of talent during the
summer season in order to hone the capability of the children. During this event a two
week sports camp shall take place for the pupils. All these shall take place at the
Gerona North Central Elementary School.
There shall be presence of experts from the Department of Education, Coaching
Staff of Paniqui Lawn Tennis Club, Gerona Volleyball League and Gerona Football
Club.
The school gives the privilege to promote and develop Sports among the Youth as
well as collaborate in partnership to foster the development of Sports in Gerona.
This project will facilitate, harness and the development of talents for the pupil
through high performance in the field of sports.

VI. OBJECTIVES:
Generally, this program aims to Promote a Sustainable Community Development through
Education and Sports.

Specific Objectives:
1. Create awareness and Ignite the love for the game in the hearts of the youth.
2. Develop lawn tennis, volleyball and football at the grassroot level.
3. Talent Identification, promotion and follow up.
4. Spiritual growth and Development
5. Recreation and Entertainment during summer season
VII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND COMPONENTS
As previously mentioned, this project is nursed by the Gerona North Central Elementary School
(GNCES), which is endowed with well trained and competent teacher coach committed to their
job and the best organizing team known for the youth’s activities.
The clinic will run for two weeks from 22nd of April to 6th of May 2019, at the Gerona North
Central Elementary School, comprising boys and girls from grades 3 to 6. Sports is a language
and no skills is wasted, all skills are needed. That is why we shall having more pupils in Lawn
tennis, Volleyball and Football.
During this period, a two week camp shall be organized for the pupils. The camp will not
be restricted to sports alone, other activities will be introduced such as impacting the
community, team and leadership building, and recreational games all will be incorporated in
the program.
To handle this magnificent event, a competent organizing committee headed by the school
principal and division and regional well trained coaches will be put in place to run the clinic.
At the end of the program, the school will be having a friendly match or competition
among the participant.

VIII. FUNDING REQUIREMENT/SCHEME


Funds shall come from donations or LGU.

A. Evaluation
To monitor and evaluate the outcome, the proponent with the help of the school
head will do the monitoring and evaluation. They will see to it that implementation of
this project has gone its fulltime and evaluated through actual evaluation or
assessment. The proponent will keep records of the pupils’ involvement and
documentation of the activity.

X. EXPECTED OUTPUT
Pupils will develop game related techniques and basic skills. They will experience
playing in different activities, playing many small sided games and playing in different
position. Furthermore, they will learn valuable lesson in life that make them successful
in the future.
