DELA CRUZ ~ P. SAGUN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL effective School Year 2019-2020 and the school years thereafter in honor of the donors of its school site, the Dela Cruz Family and Mr. Primo Sagun 2. This Regional Office hereby announces the renaming of UNION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, Tagum City Division 0 F. DELA CRUZ- P, SAGUN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL effective School Year 2019-2620 and the school years thereafter in honor of the donors of its school site, the Dela Cruz Family and Mr Primo Sagun. 2. The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (formerly National Historical Institute) approved on October 19, 2019 City Ordinance No. 1510, s. 2019 of the Local Government Unit of Tagum City recommending for the changing of the school’s name from Union Elementary School to F. Dela Cruz — P. Sagun Elementary School. The local government ordinance was passed after the City School Board of Tagum City, Fecommended for the renaming of the above-mentioned school via Resolution No. 05, s 2017 3. Section 99 (d) of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991) authorizes the Local Sanggunian to change the name of schools through an ordinance, with the Local School Board as the recommending body. In addition, all public schools may be named or renamed by the President through a proclamation or by Congress through legislation, 4, The National Historical Commission of the Philippines’ approval to rename Tambo Elementary School to Jose N.
