2. PROCEDURE

2.1 General Requirements

2.1.1 Installations of equipment work includes receiving, unloading,storage,

removal from storage, hauling, cleaning, installation on foundations, and other

work necessary to place all equipment into successful operation.

2.1.2 Equipment shall be checked prior to its installation to ensure that it is in

conformance with the purchase documents and manufacturer’s drawings. Any

discrepancies shall be reported to Engineer and Manager.

2.1.3 Assembly of equipment shall be done according to the manufacturer’s

instructions.

2.1.4 Bolted Electrical connections shall be tightened with manual torque

wrenches to the equipment manufacturer’s Installation instructions, torque


values shall be in accordance with those listed in the specification.

2.1.5 Great care shall be exercised to prevent damage to this original finish

during equipment installation and during construction work. If factory finish is

damaged during the course of construction, the damaged component shall be

touched up or refinished to the satisfaction of the Owner by refinishing paint

supplied by the equipment manufacturer.

2.1.6 Area shall be ready for placement as detail guide from manufacture

manual

2.1.7 All equipment shall be accurately aligned on its foundation and secured in

its place.

2.2 Motor Installation

2.2.1 Motor shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions,


recommendations, and drawings.

2.2.2 Verify that the motor tag are conform with Project Specification, data sheet
equipment system.

2.2.3 Check monitoring devices such as vibration probe, bearing temperature


element and winding RTD are good(if provided )

2.2.4 Conduct insulation resistance test and polarization index (Follow


manufacturer’s standard) test.

2.2.5 Connect cable to terminal motor and check connection bolt tightness as
manufacturer’s recommendation

3. QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control shall be follow:

3.1 Alignment, level and connection of the equipment are according with Project

Specification.

3.2 Motors in high humidity and defective insulation, space heater is required to be
on.

3.3 Check tag, data sheet equipment are according with Installation approved

drawings.
