 CHAPTER I

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

This chapter presented the introduction, significance of the study, statement of the

problem, conceptual framework, scope and delimitation, and definition of terms.

Introduction

Business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in

commercial, industrial, or professional activities.

A company’s strategy is the game plan business owners and management use to

position their organization in its chosen market area, to compete successfully, satisfy

customers, and achieve good business performance. Business leaders must pay

attention to the developments in the world because they are intertwined with market

forces that affect consumers and demand. They must adapt their business strategy to a

constantly shifting environment. A business strategy is an ongoing process, not

something to set and forget. The strategies that the milk tea shop possess are they set to

the lower price and they give different promo’s in every special event’s. And their

alternatives strategies are they change their concept and put other technique in their

product to get the attention of the customer’s.

A career aspiration is a path that you want your career to follow. Being part of a

management team is a big step up because it invests you with more power and greater

responsibility. This is one of the most common career aspirations and it usually is fueled

by wanting more money, and not everyone aspires to move to management. There are
higher level jobs that don’t involve the stress of watching over people. A lot of people

aspire to be a consultant where they can go and provide their knowledge as a job. This

means that they also aspire to be an expert in their chosen field of work.

According to Certiology (2018) stated that the career of aspiration is to start your

own company in a specific industry. This would put you at the top of the chain and would

make you your own boss. This can be a big motivating factor and a crowning

achievement to one’s career aspirations. Filipino’s have always been big coffee drinkers,

it was only recently that tea, specifically milk tea, started to be part of our country’s

beverage culture. One of the people who introduced this to the country was Juliet Herrera,

28, who wanted to present something new to a different market. Ms. Herrera’s advice to

aspiring entrepreneurs is simple: “Don’t be afraid to take risks because you’ll never know

what’s out there. If you have a great idea, just do it. Be patient, honest and humble. Also

learn to accept advice from others.”

The researcher noticed that the business owner needs to study and to know

the strategies to achieve the aspirations of business to enhance their skills and to develop

their knowledge.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of having essential

business strategies in achieving the aspiration of business in Milk tea Shop.

Significance of the Study

Milk tea shop there will be a lot of person who will benefit the product of our business,

that will be the teenagers, students, and also those adult or simply as all of the person in

society included. It will benefit those shop owners or those people who also want to run

a business something like this. For example, there were a businessman or

businesswoman who ran a business, but it was a failure then we will be the inspirations

to those businessman or woman to run a successful business. Also, our study will benefit

the next generation or those people who wants to run a successful business. This study

will contribute the students especially for those students who are studying about business,

it will include of how and what strategies to be used to run such a business. The

usefulness of the study is that the percentage of the successful businesses in the society

will increase at the high possible percentage, there will be a lot of business woman or

business man who will use our tactics or strategies to run such a business, not only just

the percentage of successful businesses in the society the municipal or the city itself will

also increase their economy because of the tourist who were visiting that place for that

specific reason.

Statement of the problem

The study aims to determining the Effectiveness of essential business strategies

in achieving the aspirations of business in milk tea shop.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions:

1. What are the essential business strategies?

2. What are the effectiveness of business strategies?

3. What are the business alternative strategies?

4. How to achieve the aspirations in business?

5. How did their business become successful?

Scope and Delimitation

This study is limited only to the business owner of Milk tea shop in Milktealicious,

Drip tea, and Bedi beans Milk tea. At Kenneth road, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Determining the Effectiveness of essential business strategies and to know

they’re alternatives strategies in achieving the aspirations of business in milk tea shop is

the focus of this research. All information and conclusion drawn from this study were

obtained only to this particular group.

Definition of terms

For a better and clear understanding of terms related to Effectiveness of

essential business strategies in achieving the aspirations of business in Milk tea Shop.

Business – transactions or economic support provided by customers.

Effectiveness – producing or capable of producing a desired result.

Strategies – a method worked out in advance for achieving some objectives.

Aspirations – eager desire for personal advancement.

Alternatives – the power, right or opportunities to choose.

Significance – the idea that is conveyed or intended to be conveyed to the mind by

language, symbol, or action.

Organizations – a group of persons formally joined together for some common interest.

Conclusion – an opinion arrived at trough a process of reasoning.

Essential – absolutely, necessary, extremely important.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This chapter presents the review of related literature and studies to further develop

this study. The researcher made most of the readings on books, journals, internet, thesis,

and dissertations to make the researchers’ study more idyllic and truthful.
